July 31

Kayli and Thomas are off to spend time with their dad, Dana and Grandma Elaine for a couple weeks.

Brynn was very upset that we were leaving them at the train and she didn't get to go on too, so we stopped by Canada's Wonderland and she rode a few rides including a train.

Brynn had her allergy testing done and the only thing of the most common allergines she reacts to are eggs and dust mites. She will be tested for Quinoa the next visit because it is likely what caused her anaphylactic reaction. She does have to carry an epi pen so we will need to learn to use it.

I haven't really gotten a chance to take more pictures but here's some of my favorites:
Am I getting any better?

What's happening lately......

I have finally decided to join the blogging world. This will be my very first entry.
I hope to be able to keep friends and family up to date with what is happening in our house.
We will see how this goes. I've never been very good at keeping a diary.

Kids..........
Well it's been interesting with the kids so far.
Thomas just celebrated his 12th birthday!
I can't believe 12 years ago he and his twin brother Michael were born.
It seems like yesterday since I held them both and said good-bye to Michael.
Thomas has grown so quickly.
He has become a funny, charming and sometimes annoying preteen. Yikes!

Kayli painted this dragon for Thomas.

Kyle got married to Michelle McMullen on June 19.
Can you believe I'm old enough to have a married son?

Kayli passed both her lifeguard courses but managed to do this....... falling in the sauna.

She had been sitting on the top bench of the sauna. When she stood up she got dizzy and fell straight down to the bottom bench. She broke her wrist, damaged muscles in her neck and knocked herself unconscious. We spent some very scary hours in the hospital with her on a backboard getting cat scans and x-rays.

Brynn broke out in a very interesting but scary rash the other day.
The doctor's at the hospital thought it was either an allergic reaction or scarlet fever.
She ended up needing a steroid anti histamine and has an appointment with an allergist.
They said she had a severe reaction to something she had ingested, but we don't know what.
She may need to have an Epi-pen on hand. These pictures were taken after the majority of the rash was gone.
